Nepal’s women’s volleyball team has advanced to the finals of the Nations League after defeating Iran in straight sets.

This marks the second time Nepal has reached the championship match in this tournament. In Tuesday’s second semifinal match held at the National Sports Council’s Covered Hall in Tripureshwor, Nepal won against Iran with set scores of 25–20, 28–26, and 25–20.

The second set was particularly thrilling, with Nepal overcoming a deficit of 21–24 to secure a dramatic victory. Nepal had an easier time in the first set, while the second set proved to be more competitive. With this win, Nepal has also avenged their loss to Iran from the league stage, where they were defeated 3–2 in sets.

Nepal will now face the defending champions, India, in the final. India secured their place in the final by defeating Sri Lanka in straight sets earlier in the day, with scores of 25–15, 25–16, and 25–23. Iran will now compete against Sri Lanka for third place on Wednesday.
