CPN-UML’s candidate Bidya Bhattarai has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Kaski constituency-2. This is Bhattarai’s second consecutive win. She defeated her closest rival Madhav Prasad Kandel of Rastriya Swatantra Party, Madhav Prasad Kandel, by 4,503 votes. Bhattarai received 16,998 votes while Kandel got 12,495 votes.

He defeated his closest rival Surendra Prasad Pandey of CPN-UML by 7,581 votes. Dhakal received 34,189 votes while Pandey got 26,608 votes. Nepali Congress candidate Bishwa Paudel got 24,990 votes.
