क्यालिफोर्निया — अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्पले कोरोना भाइरस(कोभिड–१९) को संक्रमण बढ्दै गएपछि शुक्रबार वासिङ्टन डीसीस्थित ह्वाइट हाउसबाटराष्ट्रिय संकटकालको घोषणा गरेका छन् ।

सर्वसाधारणको जीवनमा सुरक्षामा हानी हुन पुग्ने अवस्था आएको अवस्थामा राष्ट्रपतिले आफ्नो अधिकार प्रयोग गरेर संकटकाल लगाउन सक्ने व्यवस्था छ। अमेरिकी समाचार संस्था फक्स न्युजका अनुसार राष्ट्रपतिले संकटकाल घोषणा गरेसँगै विपद् सहायता र आपत्‌कालीन सहयोगमार्फत राष्ट्रपतिले संघीय र राज्य स्तरमा सहायता उपलब्ध गराउन सक्नेछन्।

अमेरिकी राष्ट्रिय संकटकाल ऐनअनुसार संकटकाल घोषणासँगै ५० मिलियन डलर खर्च गर्न पाउने अधिकार दिन्छ। त्यही रकमबाट कोरोना संकटविरुद्ध लड्न राज्य र स्थानीय सरकारलाई रकम वितरण गरिन्छ।

अहिलेसम्म अमेरिकामा कोरोना भाइरसबाट २ हजार ४ सय ६६ जना संक्रमित र ५० जनाको मृत्यु भएको छ।

आईटी कम्पनीहरु एप्पल, फेसबुक, गुगललगायतले आफ्ना कर्मचारीलाई घरबाट काम गर्न भनेको छ। कोही यदि कार्यालय आउन चाहे उसले सम्पूर्ण स्वास्थ्यजाँच गरेर मात्र जान पाउने व्यवस्था गरेको त्यहाँ कार्यरत कर्मचारी बताउँछन्।

घरबाट काम गर्न नमिल्ने कर्मचारीलाई पनि तलब सुविधा दिएर छुट्टी दिइएको छ। यस क्षेत्रका विद्यालयहरु तीन हप्ताका लागि बन्द गरिएको छ।
